Keeping a Diabetics' Feet Warm

Posted by

A Letter From a Diabetic:

Jerry,

I am sending you this e-mail because I believe you are genuinely interested in feedback on Wiggy’s products.

In Dec.2014, I purchased from you Pack Boots with the necessary Lamilite insulators.

My doctor tells me I am a diabetic consequently the digits (toes and finger tips) get cold extremely fast.

I am amazed at how warm my feet are inside these boots with the Lamilite insulators.

I remember conversing with you before my purchase and you instructed me on how to use the boots and you were right on with your instructions.

Prior to my purchase I have tried just about everything to keep my feet warm and none of them could even come close to your product.

Now when anyone asks me about warm winter products I steer them to the Wiggy’s web site and tell them Wiggy’s is the best I have ever used.

Forget about North Face, etc. Wiggy’s is the best.

Thank-you for one of the greatest American made products ever!

PS: I also have the Wiggy’s sweater (jacket) with Lamilite and this, the warmest jacket I own bar none.

I have completely forgotten about North Face, Eddie Bauer etc.

Matter of fact when I see someone wearing a North Face winter coat and they are shivering I just smile and whisper Wiggy’s they look at me like what did I just say but hardly any of them will make an effort to clarify what I said (Michiganders) they are stuck with their “in-crowd” ignorance.

The reason for the above testimonial is to demonstrate the insulating prowess of Lamilite. If a person who is diabetic can have warm feet then a normally healthy person will easily benefit.

I have known for years that diabetics have been using my booties around their homes, but this is the first person to let me know about his experience with my Lamilite socks which he refers to as “Lamilite insulators”.

I have a draw full of 75% wool socks that I am no longer wearing this winter because I have been wearing my Lamilite socks with my Lamilite insulated boots. This past weekend I wore a pair of the wool socks with a non-Lamilite insulated boot and found the socks were moist as was the inside of the boots as were my feet, none of which happens when I wear the socks regardless of the boot.

Dave refers to his pack boots that I am out of completely but you will accomplish the same level of warmth if you use the Sunwalkers as a replacement for the felt liners. Maybe one day in the future I’ll start making them again, but until then the Sunwalkers will have to do.
