Your Wiggy's bag is guaranteed for a lifetime of use. If a seam opens, the zipper breaks or the Lamilite insulation deteriorates (such as losing its loft or separating, clumping in one place or another), Wiggy’s will repair or replace your bag at no charge to you.
The Antarctic sleeping bag is a -60° (F) bag. I believe the Antarctic model is the only -60° bag made in the world. The loft averages 10 inches, and the weight for a regular length, wide body model is 6.5 pounds. The long wide body weighs 7 pounds. Adding the Flexible Temperature Range Sleep System (FTRSS) brings the temperature range down to -80° (F).
Like the name implies, the foot end of the bag is shaped like the bow of a boat. The shape causes the Lamilite fiber to come together at the foot end of the bag increasing the insulation markedly and thereby increasing the Lamilite's ability to insulate. Then there is the hood section of the bag. It is flat to begin with, but when you start pulling the draw cord in tight the hood begins to form and a massive amount of insulation forms around your head.
The cost is no different than the standard model I have made for 26 years.
NOTE: Included stuff sack size is 13" x 24" (uncompressed)
Thickest, warmest, and heaviest bag I've ever had. Probably twice as thick as my old military modular sleep system bag I had. Looking forward to sleeping out on the ice this winter on my fishing trips. Also came with a free pillow I wasn't expecting. Thanks Wiggy! Also impressive these days that the price stated was the price paid. No taxes, fees, shipping etc. Would definitely buy again, although I expect I won't need to.
