INCREDIBLE REPORT / TESTIMONIAL

I've been so busy; I'm just now getting time to compliment you on your sock liners. I'll briefly set the stage below for my hunting misadventure.

BRIEF BACKGROUND:

I drew a Wyoming elk tag this year. I have had two prior bouts of frostbite to my hands and feet prior to having any knowledge of your products. I purchased your sleeping bag system (Hunter Ultima Thule + FTRSS) a few years ago after freezing my tail off for the last thirty years with every other brand of sleeping bag. You took my phone call, spoke to me directly, we discussed my bouts with frostbite, and my build (lean basketball player 6'6"), and my hunting routines and locations. BEST DAMNED SLEEPING BAG MONEY CAN BUY! I continue to push myself into the backcountry at higher and colder elevations during hunting season. I have not had one cold night in this bag. I have looked over at several different hunting camp members and I have watched them shiver, chatter, and remain restless through the nights. NOT ME! And I tell them: "Call Wiggy, stop freezing your butt off."

SOCK LINERS

I ordered your sock liners the first time this year for this special elk hunt. I wish I had ordered those years ago. I am writing to tell you that I destroyed one pair of boots due to site conditions (sole part separated from body, and yep, you can't resole them) (brand to remain shamefully nameless), melted the right boot of another pair with my base camp wall tent stove -- trying to dry them in a hurry due to site conditions. This left me with one left boot for eight more days of the elk hunt and a pair of camp tennis shoes. You and I both know there are no stores around on the mountain, so you improvise.

I wore your 13" sock liners and a tennis shoe on my right foot for the remainder of the hunt. Yes, I looked like a mountain idiot, but the elk couldn't tell. Each day I had to hike / wade up a stream (yes I walked up the stream as the gorge was too steep to stay on dry land), to get onto the trophy elk I was after. Of course my tennis shoe was soaked, of course your sock liners were soaked, and of course my foot was soaked. And yes, there was snow on the ground as well. But as you probably already know, my feet never got cold.

Here I was one boot and one tennis shoe marching through snow, rocks, and rivers. Everybody at base camp thought I should give up and remain at base camp. My guide almost grounded me as well. But your sock liners came through. Every single time I stopped hiking I would look down at my right foot and see a steam cloud coming from that tennis shoe. My hunting guide was floored. Plus, your liners dried out in no time. I could hunt the morning and evenings because the liners dried so fast.

I told my hunting guide that if any of his future clients complain about hunting conditions, to remind them of the tall skinny guy who hiked up and down a stream everyday with one boot and one tennis shoe and a pair of Wiggy's sock liners. No whiners!

NEXT ORDER:

Wiggy’s boots and more sock liners!

Thanks for keeping it real with real products that work really well. I'll trade you my hard earned dollars for your exceptional outdoor gear every time. I have one word for those so called brand names: FAIL!!!

This is my own personal endorsement of Wiggy's sleeping bags and sock liners. I was not paid to offer this endorsement. I'm a regular, hardworking guy who demands top quality performance gear to support my passion for the outdoors. I prefer to only buy things one time because they work and because they last. Wiggy's gear works! Wiggy’s gear lasts. But best of all, if it doesn't work or doesn't last, I know who to call, and he answers the phone and listens to his customers.

Thanks again,

J.T. Green

Over the years which are now 30 in Grand Junction, Colorado I have received numerous accounts of how well in unexpected conditions my products have performed. I personally can attest to the performance of my parka, leg jackets and mukluks.

There is one aspect to what I make that remains constant and that is technically continuous filament fiberfill. I have trade named the product Lamilite which is made from a core material trade named Climashield. It is this insulating material and the way that I use it that is responsible for the successful performance of my products. It is polyester fiber just like other companies usebut they use chopped staple polyester fiber for the insulating materials. In reality not a one of those chopped staple polyester fiberfills is anything but obsolete ever since the inception of the continuous filament fiber’s introduction into the market place. Years have gone by and the products made by the Wiggy’s company have shown/proven that continuous filament fiber has no peer, and that most assuredly includes down, which also is obsolete and has been for all the years that the continuous filament fiber has been on the market.

Climashield the core ingredient of Lamilite has been in production since 2005. The commitment of the company to include not only the ownership but all of its employees to manufacture the best possible product is unsurpassed in a company. Since I was in the employ of the first company that made the original Polar Guard I have knowledge that dates from 1968 and I have willingly shared that information with them without compromise. The quality of their Climashield product is significantly better than what was originally produced. Not necessarily because of me but rather because of their desire to make the best possible product. Their success has been exceptional as far as I am concerned.

When I read J.T.’s account of his experience it made me realize how important the Climashield is as insulation and the way that I use it allows for maximum capability. And then I started thinking about the other companies that make clothing items for use during the colder times of the year and why they chose not to use the Climashield as the insulation in their products. The only conclusions I can come too is lack of knowledge and a deep lack of desire to gain any, as well as not making their products in the USA. They all have their products made in Asia and they do not want to buy any component from a USA supplier and ship it to Asia. Who is the loser, in my opinion the ultimate consumer! The list of products are footwear, hand-wear and outerwear primarily.

I do believe that at some point in the not too distant future people who buy the products from these companies believing at the time of purchase the gobble goop that they advertise will in fact start to return the products due to lack of performance. When this happens maybe those in charge of these companies who have kept their heads in the sand (I could be crude as to the location of their brains) may very well wake up.

If as the Farmer’s Almanac suggests we are going to have a very cold winter and you happen to need a new coat, insulations that you should be very leery of are any of the Primaloft’ s, Thinsulate’ s, or down’s being offered. However, if you happen to live in central Florida south to Key West you will be fine. Otherwise you really will need a Wiggy’s coat.

One last comment about J.T. 's experience. I believe that the "steam" he is referring to was more than likely the moisture from his foot condensing and freezing, so he was seeing frost versus steam.
