lamilite boots are the star

OUT STANDING COMMENTS ABOUT THE LAMILITE BOOTS

Jerry, I've been a big fan of your sleeping bags for years. I now own 4. I've got other gear like the waders and gaiters. Last year I got a ground pad for an Alaska hunt and it was great. I've worn the fish nets and they work as advertised. I have a bunch of jacket liners and socks and love them.
All that and I've been skeptical about your boots. I finally decided to go for it and get a pair. I was uncertain of the size so I emailed you and you responded almost immediately. I ordered as you advised.
I have an elk hunt coming up soon so I went straight to wearing them. I did not have the out of the box experience some had but I also wore them for 14 hours without much issue. . They have felt better each time I've worn them.
So this week we had a little storm name Harvey. I've been soaked and in the rain regularly. Fortunately on flooding but still wet.
I just took the boots off after another 12 hour day and fully expected to have wet feet as I always do in Gore-Tex. I know my feet have been wet through the course of the day but when I took of the boots DRY FEET AND SOCKS. Truly amazing, can't wait to pack elk in 2 week!
I am now more than ever a Wiggys "Cool Aid" drinker.
Thanks for the great gear.

Scott Caldwell

The above testimonial should be read by Bobby Gore as well as ALL of their associates (employees) so they can know and understand that the product they sell works exactly the way Scott has stated. As many of you know who read my articles he is by no means the first to state that he always has wet feet when wearing Gore-Tex lined boots.

I also think that all of the boot manufacturers such as Wolverine Worldwide who owns at least half a dozen brands should also read my newsletters so they too can acquire the knowledge which I am very sure they have that Gore-Tex lined boots retain all of the moisture that comes out of each foot in the boot. The other knowledge they should have is that putting Thinsulate in the boot claiming it to be insulation does not work because all buyers of these boots do have cold feet once the temperature drops below 32 degrees F.

Has Wolverine Worldwide or any of their brands ever received a testimonial of this nature; NO!!! The question that needs to be addressed by all of the boot companies is “how long before you come to the conclusion that it is time to stop using a component that does not work, never has worked or will ever work as advertised?” You can include Thinsulate in the question as well.

All of the retail stores that sell these boots are in my view complicit in presenting to people footwear that does not work. In addition the buyers of these boots have never used them and if they did they would have had the same experience as Scott and millions of others, after all they have been sold for 40 years so millions is probably an accurate assumption on my part. The retailers are like drug stores today and want to sell every item that they can. I do not sell retailers because they will not represent my products correctly. If they did they wouldn’t carry another sleeping bag brand or any other product to compete with my Lamilite insulated products.

At what point will Gore and every other company that sells products that contain materials referred too as waterproof and breathable finally bite the bullet and admit what they already know the stuff DOES NOT WORK AS ADVERTISED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My opinion not any time soon!

Of course my challenge still is open to any company that wants to come to Grand Junction later this year once winter sets in and then they can demonstrate to me that their product works; whether it is waterproof breathable, an insulation, a wicking product or any of the myriad of other products or materials I have in their minds written about that fall into the category of B/S. I am patiently waiting for someone to consummate taking me up on the challenge; I wait with bated breath but I am not holding it. However, if they can prove me wrong I will be the first to admit it and apologize profusely for the error of my ways.

Much thanks to Scott for sending me his letter/testimonial!!!
