Goretex fuseform technology

1 results for "garments made with fuseform technology" by the north face company(however it was not fuseform)

This morning I was reading a solicitation from a military unit for pants made with goretex 3L fuseform technology. Having no knowledge of this material I researched it and found a number of directions to the north face company web site.

I went there and typed in garments made with goretex 3L fuseform technology. I did note that the north face company had several styles in 2017 and for 2018 the result was one garment; a vest but there was no mention of the goretex 3L fuseform material used. The garment was made with ventrix. Since we are in 2019 there was a post next to the garment that said “past season” so I guess this is not being made anymore! Also the price was reduced from $179.00 to $125.30.

If this material was as good as the north face literature from 2017 states why have they dropped it? Also if the material is so good why is it not being used by many more manufacturers? The answer is because the north face company needs like a drug addict needs a fix they need a new story each season.

I believe that the gore company is dreaming up new names with new stories about the one material they put on the market 40 years ago. Just like the primaloft company has one- insulation they put on the market in the late 1980’s or early 1990’s, one product with 15 different names and 15 different stories. As a consumer who can you trust to get legitimate information about materials from, certainly not the companies who make the garments?

I do not read consumer magazines such as backpacker or outside so I do not know if the companies like north face advertise in them the various garments they make and note the materials used that make the garment great. Or do they just have these hang tags with microscopic printing that supposedly tells the story of the material. I suppose most people do not read these hangtags. They buy what looks good and that is the basis of the purchase, if they can afford the garment.

As you can see these companies are solely interested in the fashion aspect of what they deliver to retail stores. Product performance never enters their minds and in reality they just refer to performance in a cursory way.

I have been very hard on gore and primaloft companies for some time now. It is possible that the truth I have exposed to the general public is seen by some as “he can’t be right”. That is okay with me. What I strongly recommend is that you can go into any home sewing store and buy one yard of any thin polyester batting and compare it to any primaloft batting you can find in a jacket. What you will see are two materials that look like clones of each other. Of course you can write or call the ceo mike joyce and request samples of all of the different qualities of styles they produce. Then you can compare what you get if you get anything, I suspect that you will not get anything or even a response. But if you do let me know.

See how easily these fiberfills can be pulled apart see how easily they will be crushed and not return to original thickness if at all they show signs of coming back. For those who want to compare this unacceptable material to Lamilite I’ll be happy to send to you a sample of the L-6 Lamilite. Whether I send a sample of the L-6 or L-15 it does not matter since it’s all the same except for weight, continuous filament is continuous filament and it is all called Lamilite.

As for gore I do not know if any fabric shop sells goretex laminated fabric so you might just write or call bobby gore and ask for samples of each quality or style they have. However, if you happen to have any goretex garments that were made with different goretex materials you can see if there are any differences between them. Aside from going into the rain and running around to cause sweating and note if rain water gets in and if sweat gets out. Actually you will know the moisture is not getting out because you will probably begin to experience a chill once you stop your running.

For all of you fly fisherman if you wasted you money on syms goretex waders let me know how the moisture from your feet and legs get out of the waders.

Note that over the years that I have been exposing these two materials as being bogus as well as a number of other chemicals used in the industry as equally bogus not one company has stepped to the floor and said wait a minute Wiggy. The truth is as I believe they simply have no proof that I am wrong.

One other aspect of getting a sample from me is that you can sleep with it to learn if my materials have any negative effect on anyone who happens to be chemically sensitive.

By the way what has happened to goretex 3L fuseform technology, they probably took all unsold material and just sell it as some other goretex product since they are all the same.
