FINALLY A GOOD USE FOR L.L. BEAN BOOTS

Bean is teaming up with small batch breweries to have their waterproof breathable boots used as spigot handles. In this manner they are always going to be visible to the inebriated public that frequent pubs. Of course the pub probably will not have to pay for these handles, a symbiotic business relationship. So entry into the pub maybe restricted to people who only wear these boots when they go into these pubs. In this manner if they over imbibe they may die with the L.L. Bean boots on, just like in the old west.

I also read that rei was expanding their used clothing and gear department. Just goes to show when you sell inferior quality products people return them so you can resell at much lower prices. Do those who return them get their money back, I do not think so just store credits so they can get a new inferior quality product.

This may be a trend that other stores like ll bean, bass pro, cabelas etc. start adopting since rei is the leader in inferior quality products.

With respect to what bean is doing, the sale of beer on tap at outdoor stores is a significant growing trend. It has been the case for years at the outdoor retailer trade show. Once the clock strikes 4 pm at the latest the beer bar at many of the exhibitors is open. Since the show takes place in Colorado maybe they also have pot dens. If not trust me the amount of dope being smoked is pretty significant.

This is what is going on in the outdoor business and that is why the quality of product is decidedly more inferior than it has ever been. Once their brains are wandering they don’t care if the products are good or bad. Will it ever change, I think not and the reason for my position is that they all know that goretex and the like don’t work but they blatantly chose not to walk from it.

That is what I believe is happening in the outdoor industry. So if you want to go into the bush just stop at one of the outdoor shops that has a beer bar and sit down relax and talk about the outdoor experience you think you might have, that is if you can negotiate getting out of the door.
