Normally our sales increase in August each year so our shipping slows as a result. This year I am very happy to say our sales both from the civilian marketplace and the military has been increasing earlier than what has been normal. So, I have decided to show on the website that we are looking at shipping as much as 10 days after receipt of orders.

We do have a solid inventory so most orders will ship in 5 days or sooner, but I did want to let all know so you can know the situation now versus getting a surprise.

BIRDS OF A FEATHER JOIN TOGETHER

Today I read that LL Bean was going to sell their branded products to several retail stores to better serve the Bean customers versus opening stores around the country this country as well as Canada.

They will be selling Nordstoms, sheels in the USA and the rei equivalent in Canada mec or mountain equipment company. I know from reports in the news Nordstoms has been having their difficulties as for sheels I do not know but mec last I heard was going out of business.

All of these businesses have one thing in common that showed it self when the coronavirus surfaced and that is financial problems of one sort or another.

Bean needs greater distribution and selling to existing stores is cheaper than opening their own stores. The other companies are hoping by having the bean brand in their stores will boost sales.

I think reality has yet to be recognized by the administrators of these companies and the coronavirus just pushed then all over the edge. Pretty soon rei will want to sell them their brand maybe.

I do not believe this ploy will work for any of the companies involved.
