EVEN CONNOISEUR’S BUY WIGGY BAGS
Christmas gift for my daughter
All of my daughters have grown up with Wiggy’s. My
original, trusty Wiggy — the one I’ve had since 1990 from my Marine Corps days
— has always been with me. For over 30 years, it’s been my go-to blanket for
lounging around the house. Growing up, my girls called it "The Marine
Blanket," and there were more than a few times when they fought over it.
The good thing was, it was a FRSS, so I’d break out the second one, and voilà!
Now I had two "Marine Blankets," one thicker than the other.
As a true Wiggy fan, I’ve made sure all the beds in my house (five in total)
are outfitted with Wiggy’s comforters. They’re used year-round and are just as
comfortable in the summer months as they are in winter.
Anyway, I digress... This year, now that my oldest daughter is a young adult
(20) with her own car, I thought it would be the perfect time to buy her very
own Wiggy to keep in the car for emergencies. But let’s be real — I know she’s
going to use it all the time. And why wouldn’t she?!
I bought her the Navy-colored Ultra Light sleeping bag. Wow, this thing is
amazing! (I might just have to get one for myself. After all, I already have
the exact same one in Coyote Brown... surely I need a Navy one too!)
Wiggy's = The World's BEST Sleeping Bags!!!
John Mulkern USMC. 1990-1994. Wiggy lover and connoisseur since 1990
Thank you, John, for your continued support.
Many years ago, 40 to be precise, when I was in S.C. and starting to make sleeping bags, I was told that because they are so good people will only buy one. My response was if people who buy my sleeping bags learn how good they are they may very well be come my best salesman. As well as buying them for their family members. John is a testament to my response.
I have letters from numerous men who have done the same as John in getting a Wiggy’s sleeping bag for a daughter or wife who travel in the winter in snowy regions of the country for the same reason. John lives in the Buffalo area of the country, need I say more.
I have also received orders from men wanting their bags vacuum packed, so they take up less space in their trunk. So, it is not only the Air Force that put vacuum packed Wiggy’s bags in their aircraft, but everyday citizen’s do as well.
The citizens who do this know that the sleeping bags return to original loft when broken out of the blister packaging.
Sales of comforters have also increased this winter. The word-of-mouth advertising is terrific, but also the fact that the comforters have Lamilite insulation in them. People with our sleeping bags know the value of the Lamilite so many have become comforter owners.
Once again I can point to one of my products being successful because of the Lamilite insulation in it.
