gullible government employees

HOW EASILY THE GOVERNMENT CAN BE SWAYED

Years ago, they were swayed into the gore material and it has been a boom for gore and a waste of tax-payer’s dollars.

After gore they went for the primaloft story which started in about 1993 and I believe has ended.

Two or so years ago an agency I believe in either Virginia or Maryland “awarded” a research contract to a company working with the aerogel material for insulation to the tune of if memory serves 1.5 million bucks. Do they have anything to show for it, I do not believe so, or I have not read anything yet.

This past week two of my readers sent me an article that the air force has some how given a company orso in Portland, OR. maybe a grant to do research and development of a new flight suit for jet pilots that will keep them warm or warmer than they are now while flying above 30,000 feet. I was not aware that the pilots were not comfortable. The material that orso uses as an insulating barrier is aerogel.

When I read the article the ceo of aerogel stated that the aerogel works even when it gets crusted down, remarkable. But some individual employed by the air force who is simply ignorant of insulation was sold a bill of goods, so this individual entered orso into this experimental program. Nothing was stated as to what the cost to us taxpayer’s might be so who knows.

We have believed it or not gullible government employees, and military personnel are government employees.

ELGIN BAYLOR

I was on my way to Madison Square Garden one afternoon to get tickets for the Lakers/Knicks game when he came out, so I got to talk with him for a minute and told him I was looking forward to seeing him play. He was a gentleman to this kid.

That night I saw a move that I have not seen again. He was being guarded by Mel Hutchins considered the best defensive player in the league. Baylor was in the corner below where I was sitting. He went up for a jump shot with his right hand and Hutchins was coming down on the ball, so he switched to his left hand while still in the air and “swish”. Incredible move.

For those who had as I did the pleasure to see him play and those who didn’t you missed seeing the best player inch for inch who ever walked on the court.

They noted in his O-bit that he scored 38 points a game but lost the scoring title to Wilt C who scored 50 a game that season.

They also noted that he played for the title 9 times and never won one. 8 of those series were against the Celtics or should I say Bill Russel and the last one I believe was when LA lost to the Knicks and then he retired.

The reality is he was in my opinion the G.O.A.T when comes to small forwards who have ever played the game.
