HYPOTHERMIA BAG

Thank you so much today for the call today, hoping you could provide a quote for shipping 9 of the Orange Hypothermia bags New Brunswick, Canada E1B-0G9. We are very eager for 9 Volunteer Search and Rescue teams to get this great product.

Dear Wiggys Team,

My name is Nick K. Over the past decade, I’ve had the opportunity to work as a Paramedic, serve in the Canadian Forces, and now lead Search and Rescue efforts with Tri-County GSAR here in Canada.

Throughout my career, I’ve seen firsthand what works in the field—and what doesn’t. Of all the hypothermia gear I’ve worked with; your Victims Casualty Hypothermia Bag has consistently stood out. In fact, it’s the most reliable and effective tool we’ve used for hypothermia management during rescue and extrication operations, especially in the challenging environments we operate in.

We’re now able to outfit several of our response teams across nine small-to-medium-sized communities with the proper extrication and hypothermia gear, and we would like to purchase 8 or 9 of these bags.

We know high-quality gear comes at a price—and yours is worth it. But anything you can do to help us get these bags into more hands would directly support our frontline response in remote, often unforgiving terrain.

We appreciate your time, and more importantly, your commitment to building equipment that truly saves lives. I look forward to hearing from you and working together on this purchase.

We sell over 100 hypothermia bags each year in Canada and the number keeps growing and now I know why. The report that Nick has related to me in his e mail telling me how well the hypothermia bag performs is heartwarming.

He has asked for a better price based upon his purchase, but I could not give him a better price. I have never sold hypothermia bags to dealers of products sold to SAR organizations because they would have to mark up the price to at least $600.00. My price which is wholesale is $410.00.

The hypothermia bag has a purpose, that is to save lives. It is not a particularly profitable item for Wiggy’s because it is labor intensive. It takes 4/5 hours to make. Aside from the fact that it has Lamilite insulation which no other company has it is very difficult to copy, so nobody copies it just like Wiggy’s bags, nobody copies them.

Once again, we make a product that incorporates the Lamilite/Climashield CONTINUOUS FILAMENT FIBERFILL that simply put out performs every other form of insulation in the world.

I have heard of a down filled hypothermia bag which I suspect has one time use and it is in the same price range. Those who have purchased one should read Nick’s report and know the Wiggy Hypothermia bag can be used hundreds of times.

Last night I received the following testimonial.

Jerry, Wiggy's bags are hands down the very best, I have bought three of them among other cold winter gear from you!! Thank you and your crews for all the Professional work they do, pass that along!!! Made in the USA ?? And Proud of it!!

This week I have posted information about the Wiggy products used by the U.S. Airforce and now SAR groups. I think it points out how durable and well they perform. I have also included a testimonial from a consumer praising the products.

I said almost 40 years ago to spend your hard-earned money on any product called a sleeping bag is wasted, they are “no sleep sleeping bags”. When you buy a Wiggy’s sleeping bag [you do sleep in them] you are making an investment because using one for 30 plus years is not unusual. An elderly couple came into the store early this week [in their late 60’s] heading from Denver to northern CA. to buy a bag. He has had one for 25 years, he said and now it is time to buy one for his wife. She said his bag looks almost new. These experiences are not unusual.

I once ran an ad in Backpacker magazine saying “to buy any other bag is a waste of money in the early 1990’s” and it rings true today and will tomorrow.
