The Chukka's I bought from you in July are the nicest boots I've worn in over 20 years.

Wearing 'em now as I write this, 90+ degree heat and over 90 per cent humidity and rain, my feet are still dry and comfortable.

Thanks for making a fine product!

What Pat experienced I experienced years ago when I first had Lamilite boots made for me. Thank you Pat for confirming what I found out as have many more who own Lamilite boots.

Hi Jerry,

I just got back last night from Kings Peak in Utah which is the highest mountain in Utah. It is a 28-mile backpack and climb of over 6,000 feet. The weather was terrible with rain, hail, lightning, thunder and high winds. I wore your zippered ducksback jacket, fishnet underwear and second layer shirt, Lamilite socks, FTRSS overbag, and one man shelter. All of your gear worked perfectly. I did not overheat with the jacket and it shed the rain effectively.

Most surprising were the Lamilite socks. In one day I hiked 17 miles through terrible weather. I wore ventilated lightweight boots with no goretex. Water came right into the boots. Despite the heavy rain my feet stayed dry and had no blisters. This is unbelievable for me as I always have blisters with wool socks even with a liner sock. I was at first dubious about the socks as they did not have as much padding as wool socks so I expected more blisters with the Lamilite socks. I was completely wrong! When I took off the socks, the soles of the socks were damp but my feet were totally dry despite boots soaked from the rain and trudging through mud puddles and absolutely no blisters!

Your one man shelter worked fine with the modification I told you about a while back with the extra guy line in the head area. The shelter leaked water around the head area due to all the seams and storm conditions but the ducksback part worked great. I will get seam-sealer and seal the coated nylon parts and they should be fine. The water did not bother me as your Lamilite bag was not affected by water and I was warm and comfortable.

Thanks for your great products Jerry. I am a walking advertisement for Wiggy’s
