A LONG TESTIMONIAL BUT WORTH THE READ, JERRY

I reside in CT/USA, and you may have heard that New England experienced two large snow events over the past two weeks in Jan/Feb (locally 13" + 7"= 20" snow in a matter of days), PLUS subzero temps over two weeks (wind chill varied minute by minute, -6 to -40 degrees F).

I use the Ventusky weather app, and one could ACTUALLY see--in seconds--how the wind and temps varied rapidly--white to dark blue, back to white, second to second--which I never saw in my life on a weather app!).

Anyway, I typically have to shovel over a period of 3 hrs total. Temps were -25 to -40 with a consistent wind chill effect. Things were getting dangerous.

My wife had purchased a glove brand from Amazon called UMEWARM (w/ThermaLite), adding that their online desc. stated toasty to -5. Not wanting to get Sweet Thing disappointed, I figured I try them on--BUT my fingers got cold after 5 mins of use (yes--5 mins!!). I went back inside and put on your Kodiak mittens, PLUS silk underwear, double layer waterproof socks, using bread wrappers, with wool cover/in sealed boots, PLUS orange hoody piece clipped at my chin. Nothing--and I mean NOTHING (no wind/snow/low temps)--penetrated to my body. I worked outside for at least an hour (heavy snow returned), but very likely could have worked three hrs. more, that's how comfortable I was.

I had been in the US Navy in Iceland for 11 years in the 80's, where I learned the principles of cold weather training (sometimes horizontally snows on one side of the street, in complete whiteouts--everyone & everything stops). Ever since, I have always been looking for complete cold-weather gear, and believe I have found unbridled success with your products! Yea, slightly expensive, but absolutely worth the price for continuous un-worrisome protections. My Kodiaks got a small slice rip in my left palm (edge of shovel), but (again) temps and weather did not penetrate. I'll have to tape it up I guess.

I work at a local ACE hardware store (think snowblowers, shovels, rock salt, generators, heaters, etc.), and have informed all my fellow employees, plus some customers, to access your website for advice and great products. They see me walk into work, and want what I have after trying on my hat and Kodiaks. A super testimony to what you provide!!
