Today I was reading through “TEXTILE WORLD” magazine, the May June 2020 issue. As you can imagine its focus is “COVID 19” and how the U.S Textile Industry is responding.

The textile industry has responded quite well since garments are needed by the score for people working in all aspects of the medical industry. Most all of these fabrics get treated with antimicrobial chemicals for obvious reasons,

However, chemical companies are more and more producing antimicrobial chemicals that are put on fabrics that are used to make “FACE MASKS”. One such company that I have never heard of that produces a variety of chemicals for the textile industry makes water repellent chemicals as well as chemicals that guard against odor producing agents that we humans produce when we sweat. This company is Sciessent LLC, Beverly, MA.

They are a chemical company just like “heiq” and they make chemicals for the same application as heiq, like water repellents etc. They also make chemicals that are so smart that they activate when you are working out that and know about the body odor you produce and neutralize it, amazing.

I am very sure the chemicals that they first formulated for water repellent treatment is poison. I doubt you would drink it or would they at the company. Since it is toxic why not put on fabric and say it will kill the corvid-19 virus? Because it will. Why not put it on work out clothing so it will kill human produced microbes from sweat, because it will. This goes along with my contention that these companies have one chemical and give it different names and sell them for different prices.

These companies, not only these two but all of them are now claiming they are washable for long term use. The mask may be made so it will last through many launderings but the chemicals applied to them will not last which is a good thing. While the chemicals are there and you wear the mask, YOU are breathing in this poison. So, if the chemicals wash away you are better off.

Here is one more time that thinking does not enter into the equation. I am sure not one person at any of these firms has given any thought to the person wearing the mask, they are just interested in how quickly the chemical will kill the germs or microbes.

Since outerwear sales have bottomed out; there is plenty of inventory in stores and overseas waiting to be shipped here, but there is no need for more to be produced until what is available is sold. That leaves work out wear impregnated with microbe killing chemicals coming out of you pores and covid-19 killing chemical in face masks. These companies might have vats of the chemical just sitting and waiting to be sold to dying and finishing companies to put on outerwear fabric but that is not to be, so face masks and workout wear it is.

The U.S. textile industry has responded very well under the circumstances because these companies did not want to shut down. They recognized the need for materials and finished product so they converted their production to fill that need. The chemical application was/is meaningless to these factories.

The other night I saw some footage of what the country did after we entered world war 2, Boeing made over 5000 I think B-17’s or 29’s, the American work ethic stepped to the front then and it is doing so now.

I just do not like to read ceo’s such as the guy from sciessent blabber about their product that I do not believe will work as he spouts.

Wiggy’s makes masks that are using pure finish materials that can be laundered endlessly and do protect you from the germs in the air.
