I just received my Lamilite boots this
afternoon. It's now near 10 pm and I do NOT want to take them off!! Form, fit,
support, the amazing insulation properties, laces, leather, tactile feel of the
boot itself, soles, color - everything - PERFECT!! Best boot I've EVER had in
my feet and I have spent WAY more than the $200 I paid for your boots and have
been sorely disappointed!! Jerry, you've hit this one Out of the park!! Same
with the full set of fishnets I also received today. As soon as I put them on,
I knew I'd ordered the perfect base layer. Again, another TOTAL WINNER!! Thank
you, thank you!
Go America, go LAMILITE, GO WIGGY's!!! I also have booties, socks; sleeping bag
and over bag - EVERYTHING as advertised- only BETTER!! I am TOTAL believer in
WIGGY's!! Can't say thanks enough for making performance and function a
reality.

All of the garments were in an extra-large size which is what I wear. Smaller sizes would obviously be a few ounces at best lighter and larger sizes slightly heavier. Also remember that you should consider that the weight of the Lamilite insulation is possibly 5 percent greater than I order. This is done on purpose because fiberfill manufacturers sell their batting with a standard 5 percent plus or minus. I always prefer the 5 percent plus when I order the Climashield to then make the Lamilite. Virtually all of my products are under rated by me for a reason, some people may not such as women generate as much heat as a man so it is better to accommodate the women as far as I am concerned when it comes to keeping them warm.
I have been wearing an Alaska Range parka with an L-3 zip in liner all winter with temperatures ranging from 8 or 9 degrees at the lowest to many days that never went above 25 degrees. When I made the Ducksback zippered jacket which is permanently insulated with the L-3 Lamilite I started wearing it. The Ducksback jacket was doing the identical job of insulating me. The weight of the Alaska Range parka with lining is one pound and 28.3 ounces and the Ducksback jacket is one pound 9.4 ounces. My recommendation for either garment is from 0 degrees and up depending upon what is being worn underneath either is a fair guide to their performance capability.
Today as every day I receive a solicitation from Patagonia for their stuff. The lead garment today was a garment called “nano air light hybrid”. The front half of the garment is insulated with their stretch polyester fiber fill with a weigh of 1.40 ounces, not much and the back half is strictly a waffle knit back and sides. I called and asked about the garment and that is what I was told. I further asked about a guide to temperature and was told they did not offer temperature ratings. I was not really surprised to hear that. Just like the boot manufacturers not giving a guide to their winter boots. However on their web site they show one person cross country skiing, one climbing another mountain biking and the last jogging. This must be a remarkable garment to be able to function in their eyes admirably in all these activities, amazing to me. In literally all these situations all of the excess heat and sweat you develop goes out the back so you don’t as they state freeze. You get this astounding jacket for the unbelievable price $299.00. Imagine how cheap that price is to afford you the comforts in all of the shown activities.
One last thought about this garment, it is not meant to last; planned obsolescence. When you realize it does not perform as advertised you may throw it away, versus returning it for a refund that would take forever to get.
