wonderful letter

Wiggy,

I've written you several times over the past few years in praise of your products. I've used your rectangle Super Light with hood exclusively, since buying one used, if I remember correctly, in 1989. I replaced it with a new one a few years ago because my grandson needed a bag for a fall camping trip with his buddies and he loved it so much I told him to keep it. And by the way, he was the only one of the three that was warm. The others were so cold that he ended up unzipping his bag so they could all use it as a quilt and after doing so, they were all able to sleep and enjoy their trip. Again, this is a 30 plus year old sleeping bag that I used the hell out of and It's seen some hard use over the years.

I wish I'd gotten one of your ground pads sooner than I did. They're made like your sleeping bags, rugged, comfortable and warm. I've used it a few times directly on packed snow and bare, frozen ground, and I never once felt any cold through the pad.

Your products are the best I've ever used, bar none. Your bags, in my experience, are conservatively rated. I've been comfortably warm in my Super Light on more than one occasion, at ten degrees below the bags rating. Under most conditions, I don't even zip the bag completely shut until the temperature gets into the mid-teens. They're awesome bags.

All that said, it's not the reason I'm writing you. I subscribe to your newsletter and I just read the most recent post about your health. I'm very sorry to hear about the problems you're having and I wish you the best. It may sound strange having never even met you but having used and enjoyed your products for so many years I've come to think of you as a friend, and I'm sure that there are many others out there that feel the same way.

Thank you for your honesty, your integrity, and for making the best sleeping bags (and other products) that I've ever had the pleasure of using.

   I thoroughly enjoyed your latest chapter. Your clothing line has made a huge difference in my life and I'm sure thousands of other folks would say the same thing. Even my dog Tank, a pit bull mix, has benefited from your lamilite jacket. He used to shiver uncontrollably in the snow, and after five or ten minutes, he'd start whimpering to get back into the warm house. Needless to say, the pit bull breed is not designed for sub zero temperatures. However, after I put the dog jacket on him, he and I could stay out in the snow for an hour with no problems. He's nine years old, and for the time we have left together, we can enjoy long walks in any season thanks to your products. You have improved our quality of life, and I'm grateful I discovered your amazing products so many years ago. Thank you.
