RETAILERS HAVE DEAF EARS
With regards to the article I published on Tuesday which was originally published and mailed to my customers I have some thoughts.
I am sure Marathon Rubber Company salespeople at all levels shared the information in this article when they first published it with all of their customers. but, in my opinion their customers listened with deaf ears. They their customers were taken in by the fact that it might be true even though Marathon had hard scientific evidence proving that it was not true, nor would it ever be true.
The reality is that probably all of the Marathon accounts eventually started selling goretex lined products to include jackets and boots. I suspect that this phony baloney product probably cut into the Marathon business, but what could they do, not a thing.
As we know the textile world has been taken in by this bogus product and I believe until the US military choses to forgo any further use of goretex it will continue to remain on the market.
What follow is my second newsletter. It is interesting reading for me since I have no copies of these articles, so I had no idea what I wrote back then. believe it or not I wrote about goretex and thinsulate in these first two issues.
The third newsletter makes no reference to either company.
